Two figures erupted from the glassy smooth, deep turquoise blue sea creating great bursts of white foam as they leaped into the air only to plunge back down into the water a few seconds later.

Above them white gulls and black frigate birds tried in vain to keep up with the two figures. Shoals of silvery bait fish scattered as they tried to get out of the way of these organic torpedoes.

Lightning Dust's light sea foam green body glistened in the bright midday sun. As she erupted once again from the water her multi-golden hue dorsal fin flared open for a brief instant. Like the tail fin on a aircraft the great sail-like fin kept her level with the surface of the water. It snapped flush to her body again as she plunged back into the water. a few seconds later she once again rocketed out of the water again. As mare launched herself into the air she teased the sailfish racing alongside her.

"Come on! Is that all you've got!" Splash! Once again the two figures dove back into the water. A few seconds later leaped into the sapphire blue sky. "Faster! Go faster!"

One of the drawings I started during my MerMay 2023 Picarto stream. Lightning Dust was one of the fastest ponies in Friendship is Magic. I mean she could keep up with Rainbow Dash. Link So if she was a mermaid I could see her being based on a sailfish. Link
