I miss the comforting hiss of casettes and LPs, and the crystal-clarity of CDs sounds too much like individual instruments instead of blending together into music

It's grossly overpriced. I saw one back when I was looking for a Joey shirt for the concert and it wasn't anywhere NEAR that price. Even missing the battery door. :P

Now I wish I would have bought the one I saw before.

I got one of DOnnie. And at the last concerts they had necklaces with each New Kid on it.

Only I feel gypped. Cos all of them have a cute headshot of whatever New Kid...except Donnie who's got a tail shot. And I'm sorry, but I'm not wearing anyone's hindquarters around my neck!

I have a fascination with all sorts of ways to play music, but the Walkman holds a dear place in my heart. So many happy times with cassettes back in the day... ahhh staying up all night waiting for a favorite song on the radio so you could tape it. Now I barely have to think and I can download whatever I want. It's easier, but the thrill of the hunt is gone. ;)

That's how I feel about records for the most part. Tapes were a big part of my childhood too, but I didn't have any "real" equipment to enjoy them on until fairly recently. Tapes can sound amazing on a high-end deck!

Another fun thing with tapes is the PXL-2000 video camera. It puts black and white video on a regular cassette. I brought one to AC last year, and people loved it.
