I’d love to give this picture some extra context. This is a scene from my story.

Vern was a normal human who after a botched magical ceremony to revive him turned into a much more beastly lion creature. Carol and him were developing - relationship but the chaos of the events forced their more reserved selves to admit their feelings.

This type of huge lion beast isn’t normal in their world so it’s still a shock to everyone. He’s a big sweetheart to her though. This is the scene where she realizes it’s actually Vern she’d been with and not some strange monster like creature.
