Been having a real hard time today, and this was something pretty fun and easy to do. I absolutely adore Hunter and his storyline, finding a lot of parallels in my own life. Raised in a heavily religious household, it was quite a time of adjustment once the real world became open to me. Everything I'd known and believed, everything I'd worked for and strived to be, was completely turned on its head. It was the few friends that I picked up that made any of it manageable.

That aside, I also love drawing this iteration. Especially once he's out of the Golden Guard phase, I really try to push the larger eyes and softer features to give him more of a 'puppy' feel. For all his physical ability and prowess, he is still a child. I enjoy the dichotomy.
