Carolina Giambalvo was not one of the "Class" mermaids, but appeared in the 2020 "About the Marie-Morgane" series. Carolina is a rarity among the Marie-Morgane, one of the "Drifting". While the Marie-Morgane are magically compelled to bring no harm to the Beacon City, they are not compelled to remain in it or even be loyal to it. Some, like Carolina, reject the sisterhood of Ys-Beneath-the-Waves and set out on their own. The Seas of Alvez are dangerous, and life is hard for the drifting. Carolina lives near the human cities of the Southern Coast of Letha, where she faces off regularly against "Nemesis", the seagull who keeps stealing her rightfully stolen meals!

Glad you like the little additions. Carolina is the leader of the Pen Be Drifting, off the coast of the Barony of Gwenrann, a 2 days walk from Naoned (where Kathalia and Co. currently live) Its a fairly rural region, known for its salt marshes. The Pen Be are sometimes seen as neighbors, sometimes and nuisances and sometimes as enemies, but much less so than the organized forces of Ker-Ys, for the few who know there is a difference between the groups. Generally, the Marie-Morgane of the Drifting like Carolina are tolerated when they steal fish, because they can also help unfoul nets and warn of bad weather. Its more symbiotic than in other places.
