(Gif) Dropping In to Say Hello (Redux)

The rare times that Rec can safely venture through the city on his own are the times where everyone is gathered somewhere else for a parade or a holiday event, and Rec relishes those times more than anything. This time around it was a summer celebration, with everyone leaving the more realistically-detailed part of town to have a parade elsewhere. Walking through the peacefully abandoned streets, the snake was enjoying being able to stay normal-sized while out and in the sun as he made his way toward his favorite spot in the city.
Unfortunately for Rec, a certain purple demon was bored that day. After discovering his poor friend sulking around all alone, Hellfarch decided to drop in and say hello.
Decided to rerender this little thing too, with a little added surprise. The sudden growth spurt at the end was actually something I animated originally, but decided to cut it the first time around for some reason. The camera animation for this was originally really jankily set-up and hard to work with, but then I realized that doing a much more simple and straightforward setup with it works just fine in UE5, which is just wonderful. The main difficulty was that the camera and characters were animated at the origin in Maya, but I had to offset everything in order to position them in the city scene a good ways away. For characters that's easy enough, as their overall transform is different from their animation, but importing animation onto a camera just adds keyframes directly onto its transform. Fortunately, I found out you can just attach the camera (and the characters for good measure) to some object and then move that around to offset it without affecting the animation on its transform.
Thank you to
Xamz for converting the video file into an FA-friendly gif for me!
