In this world the leeches live in death is possible but a foreign concept, only reserved for the most evil of evil :D These leeches just want your energy, so you're drained until empty and left in a near coma and spit up, you'll recover over time. OR they might keep you trapped and let you get some energy back and then drain you all over, in which case you would need rescuing hah.
Mmmm... good leechy. Gobble up that bunny and such all his energy out. :D

Reading some previous comments, I also like the idea of being held inside the leech while it allows me to regenerate some energy, so it can sap it off again. :)
Of course, I guess it would only be a matter of time before simply starving to death, at which point the leech would have to find a new meal. But I guess every awesome encounter must have a few downsides to it. :D

Haha thanks I'm glad you like it. The whole world is sort of chaotic, most the people are scattered and vulnerable to forces of nature, and so there is a natural calling for protectors or guardians to assist the general population, I'll get more into that later but there are preds out there that know the best way to survive is to capture a prey thing and treat it like a battery, drain/recharge while keeping it alive like the matrix. They're the more dangerous kind of preds and vary from being simple minded to more sinisterly intelligent :D
The leeches for the most part are dangerous because they're relentless! You get ambushed and then may be able to pull your leg or arm or head free but it's likely they pulled from some of your energy by having whatever already inside, so you're weakened and trying to escape with a bog leech slithering and hopping close behind, and you'll eventually slow down or have to rest, giving the leech another attempt at devouring you, so the best idea when being pursued by one or more is to try finding someone to help you repel the squishy baddies.
