"This is gonna take forever to get back home..."
Every year there is a eating contest that takes place on the beach a good bit away from where I live, the "Beach Binge" they call it. Where it's not about how much you eat, but how much you gain specifically. You still got your things like pies and hot dogs but the only number that matters there is yours on the scale at the end of the day. I haven't participated there since it seems like every time I did remember it, it was already over but this time, I did. And man, i'm gonna be remembering it for awhile after this...at least the aftermath anyways.
I can't even remember how long I ate, just that I kept going, and going, and going. I only snapped out of it when I noticed the sun had gone from a sunrise to a sunset and instead of a table before me, it was my own belly. I had eaten clear through the day and had almost eaten through the whole event! The only evidence of my time I can't remember during it is a celebratory flower necklace and a Beach Binge sign proudly straddled to my belly and that number... surely that's not correct, is it? Errmph, nah, it is, it is. I can certainly believe it even if part of me doesn't want to.
At least after describing my plight of not being able to get home in time with the sun quickly setting and my newly acquired size, some of the staff and other contestant goers have agreed to set up one of those little tents around me until tomorrow when I can at least waddle into the water and try to float home! I just hope the dock back home can take me...
