I'm not into feet as well, but it's good to see him in his full glory, where each part of this body is visible. I wonder if you've changed his feet design a little bit, cause I don't remember his pads being so... Protruding xD

Well, that's why this picture pleases "feet-lovers" and "non-feet-lovers" alike... there is a slight attention to the feet but it's not overblown.
I was really struggling how to compose the scene... at first I really wanted the feet to be in focus but that didn't feel natural!
And THIS pose is so cool because I've never used it before.

True: I certainly wasn't paying attention to the feet until I saw your notes. XDD That said, I do find myself attracted to how fit he is. While I've already told you my thoughts about veins, it is nice to see he's been working out and is spending some time relaxing from that.

Yeah, the vascular details are a special topic as well.
I always try to include only the most important/relevant veins... not every single one. I don't like overdrawn vascular details myself... but I do like the ones you can see here. It shows his strong arms and I think that this detail belongs to (at least) the arms!!

He's got great coloring, beautiful athletic anatomy and of course he's a hero! Plus those paws are indeed to die for!

Ya know... it's weird and cool at the same time: Every since I've kinda split my fantasy universe into the "traditional style medieval fantasy universe" and "digital style modern swimsuit edition universe" parts... I feel like it was a good choice.
The traditional universe tells the real stories and is more serious... and the modern universe is just playful and FUN!
It's good, clean fun and I can play with my characters in many cool ways.

The tribal native theme makes sense, I have one going on myself, but its an open world for my end and such. I like to include many friends here of all that I meet as part of my adventures and life, as Zharr the character, and my RL self share the same personality and soul. He is an embodiment of myself. So all that you see him as, is 100% me :)

It's important to me that it doesn't turn into "rape" or something hurtful.
None of the characters must suffer in a bad way... they both have to enjoy it. And though tickling can be some kind of "torture"... I think it's still rather tame.
And in all the artworks I can remember... Reptile was always laughing... tears of fun leaving his eyes... but never tears of cruel pain!

HOOOOoooooo maaaannnn!! Did you pull out all the stops for this one or what! Those gorgeous thick arms, popping and bulging out like swollen tree trunks... they just DARE you to try and witness their almighty glory. Attempt to drink in his elegant vascularity, the serpent-like vein network that permeates Daenok's smooth and taught flesh... you wouldn't last more than 10 seconds before tapping out for a Swoon Break.

Imagine tracing his crafted scales with the palms of your hands, feeling the subtle pulsation of his heartbeat when you cross the rivers of the vein network. Pump... Beat... Pump... an endless symphony of anthro-tilian euphoric goodness, and it's just ripe for the taking.

I think that's why Daenok has that look in his eyes. He already knows the audience WANTS him. BADLY. His gaze teeters on the precipice of a self-induced veneration and idolatry. He knows he is beautiful, and he wields this knowledge with a playful esteem. "You want some of THIS...?? Yeah, I already know that you do..."

I found it humorous that the title of this artistic piece featuring Daenok was making reference to his scaly feet. Haha, most of us in the audience are going to be swept up in the billowy maelstrom of his gigantic muscular physique before we make any notice of his feet and toes, LOL!! It's almost like an intentional misdirection...

Let me compliment you on the lifelike shading and shadow arrangement you have on the curves of his muscles and the folds of his skin. The rippled abdominal area is furthest for any light source, and as such is darker in tone, but the bulging biceps, medial deltoids and even his tail are shining with the white hot passion of a thousand burning suns.

Especially that front left calf muscle, let's appreciate the enormity of it's stature as it dominates the lower panel. Hell, even if I was looking at his feet, I would be immediately drawn to the massive sculpted size of his calf muscle as it thrives and prospers from it's skeletal perch.

With this portrait of Daenok, I've finally been able to appreciate the looming monstrosity that are his upper shoulders. They are so large, they cast shadows on his neck and clavicle bone. You see, THAT'S how you know you are ripped! When some of your muscles are so big, they block the light source to your other muscles lol.

Daenok's friendly grin says it all. "I am a mountain worth climbing." Indeed, of course you are, dear Reptile. For your muscles are the scaly Ziggurats of Babylon, forbidden to all but the most devoted worshippers.

There're two things that stick out to me.
First of all, thanks for describing his body in such a detailed, colourful way. And we all recognize a simple fact: There are pretty part for everyone to enjoy! ^^
You prefer arms and calves... and other people prefer the feet (that's why I spend a lot of focus this time) and again other people prefer something else. And that's cool! After all, the body as a whole can be worshiped in every possible way.

The second aspect is... you started calling him "Daenok". Ever since you learned that this is true, given name he was born with, you used this word. ^^
That's OK and I don't mind "Reptile" or "Daenok"... it's both fine. I just wanted to point it out because it kinda stuck out to me.

Anyway, THANKSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS for the worship and the sweet words!

Haha, I was wondering how you would react to the Daenok reference! You're right of course, both are valid and applicable, since Daenok tells the humans to call him Reptile the first chapter of the canon lore.

Of course the various subtle parts of Daenok's anatomy are a veritable smorgasbord, a visual feast for the eyes! A divine buffet, where each viewer can sample as much as they want from any part they desire the most. And even experiment with new parts they don't yet have a lot of experience with. It all boils down to choice, and how comforting it is to be well-versed in all of them.

And REPTILE makes it happen!

Yeah, it's a little bit like calling "Draco" a "dragon" all the time... sure, he's just a dragon to humans and that's why Bowen also calls him "dragon" at the beginning of their friendship. A new name had to emerge!!! ^^

In case of "Reptile"... well... it's a cool word when you say it as a German kid. I was 16 at the time... it sounded cool!!!
Later I figured that... it's just the term for a lizard too. Hey, there is a reptile... he's called "Reptile"... WTF???

So, a real name had to be created!

Haha. That would be funny if you actually picked the name Reptile without initially knowing that it was a general word for a lizard in English? Imagine the coincidence. GeminiSaint did something similar with a character in his earliest comic that he drew, not posted anywhere publicly lol, but he was a lizard warrior that he called "Reptarr". Reptarr was a green lizard type warrior, bipedal, and he wore a red cape. And he had a blue snake friend called Coral that hung around his body. I'll send you the comic, drawn around the same age that you were when you first drew Reptile!

Yeah, well... I did know the english meaning... but I was young and thought it was so bad that it was good!
And Reptarr also sounds like "raptor" or "reptile"... just a few changes. This is something many creators do and it's usually working well.

Anyway, Reptile has a real name too and that added some depth to his character.

I almost want to say that Reptile's real name, Daenok, humanizes him in a spiritual way. He likely only shares this name with those he deeply respects and admires, or considers family. The social complications of having 2 names gives us a rare window into the soul of Reptile. Though, I wonder if many in the fandom have called him Reptile for so long, that they will continue to call him that, if given a choice to change to Daenok. The spectre of tradition is a haunting one!

Well, "Reptile" was more simple for the humans but the reptilians prefer "Daenok".
And I guess it's something that has developed over time... maybe in the future, all humans get used to his real name.
Thought, I still love "Reptile" because it's so simple and just classic.

I would be curious if Reptile himself feels like he is role playing a little bit with his name... perhaps he feels compelled to emulate a certain personality when taking up the mantle 'Reptile' over his first name, Daenok. I wonder which name his family prefers to use? His children and his wife? That would be insider knowledge for sure.

I suppose he'd use Daenok when he's surrounded by his family or other reptilians. It's a more personal name... and it's his real name after all. ^^
But it is funny that he didn't use his real name in ages.

I always keep in mind that Daenok was able to choose his name 'Reptile' when dealing with humans. Perhaps he is able to provide sustenance to this manifestation of his alter-ego with the freedom to express himself how he sees fit. Almost like a Fursona, if you will, even though his physical body is not changing. He can act differently with people that are not members of his family. Maybe he enjoys the social experimentation, keeping 'Reptile' and 'Daenok' separate.

The funny thing about any universe is... I can change stories and fluff at will. ^^
The latest and most plausible version is that Reptile couldn't speak a lot of "Aktesian" (the human language in the region he lived)... but the human word for "lizard" or "scaled one" sounds a lot like "Reptile" and so they chose to call him that.
The first human who approached Reptile was Xevon after all... and I guess it just so happens that they stuck with that name, which was easier to pronounce.
I presume that "Daenok" is pronounced differently than we all think. Maybe... it's something like "Deh-Noch"... I'm still playing with that.

Haha, poetic use of 'fluff' lol. Reptile having difficulties with language translation... It seems to mirror his master artist earlier on in their career, trying to weave the native german into english for a broader audience, sometimes the you can see these little parallels if you look hard enough, intentional or not. As for his native name, Daenok, I've always said "Day-Nock" like that. Was that how it was designed to be said?

His kids probably just call him 'Hey Dad...', but if they had to use a proper name, they would go with Daenok and not Reptile, likely. Even if it was out in a human public world with tons of people everywhere? Like a holiday celebration?

Yeah, the pronunciation of Daenok is proper.
