Marviken R4 was a planned reactor to be built on a remote part of the Vikbolandet Peninsula. An overengineered mess, it was supposed to both supply both electricity and weapons-grade plutonium. It was long considered a unfinished project with no future, the reactor building left to decay in the wilderness. A forgotten piece of the Atomic Age, when utopia was all the songs sung about nuclear power. Recently though, renewed interest in reinvigorating this old plant with a newly manufactured reactor has picked up steam among the populace of Sweden, and with funding secured it seems like this old relic of Cold-war past might see new life very soon within its halls Who can say no to Plutonium after all?
