This legit leaves me wondering since mewtwo outspeeds zubat and has type advantage.. the heck happened?

To let you in on it, showdown random battles balances things out by levels. In gen1 random battles, since there are only the first 151 pokemon, you could get unevolved ones on your team with their pitiful stats, but to compensate for that they will be like level 88, while stronger mons like mewtwo are generated on level 70ish or so. I don't know if I still have a replay link, but regardless of the level thing the zubat could still get one-shot easily so it was really funny

Ahh! Thanks for explaining. I have played some random battles but it didn't even occur to me the level variation was a balance thing. It is- great drawing to go with it, hahah.
