I kinda did my own thing on this piece going outside the theme given, so I made sure to go nuts on it as a thank you for the patience and artistic liberty given to me.

All the small details make this simply lovely. I adore the expression and the little sugar skulls hanging from the ceiling. My favorite is the skull paper chain, so cute.

The paper chain idea was the first concept I had for this piece. It later on morphed into a Dia los Muertos theme as I said "CRAP there needs to be more stuff in this picture."

It is very hard to color a picture 70% of the way and then try to figure out how to "not fuck it up" while choosing colors to try and compliment the rest of it. XoX;

Had to reference like 10,000 blankets so THANK YOU for noticing them hombre.
This is the biggest background I've done in a while so I'm glad it came together ok.
