Yes, there are dead trees, but even dead trees bring life to animals like cavity-nesting birds and pollinating insects. And in time, the trees will fill the largest gaps with new saplings. With so much burden off the river kami, they'll be assured of a good water supply. And the kodama are having themselves a real celebration, the first time in how long?
Brand's doing a very good deed here. Even a cynical little *#)$ like Roko-san can't help but be impressed.

I completely agree with you on all your points.
Hopefully Roko doesn't ruin such an amazing accomplishment from Brand by trying to have a dryad feast, lol.
Remember, Roko was tempted to eat the two dryads earlier and they are multiplying in size......... which will make Roko more greedy to eat a lot of dryads (especially if they are a lot of dead dryads close by Roko before Brand used his Rain Storm.) ;)
