I had Anthony (the snake) out, and Ron (the cat) was being so well behaved that I couldn't resist putting Anthony on him and snapping a quick photo. Ron thinks snakes are big, self-mobile toys, but he's finally learned they are not for biting or clawing.

I used to rescue garter snakes from my cat -- another male orange tabby -- when I was kid. Somehow I don't think he'd have been quite as bold with a snake like that!

He's very hard to get photos of where he's not hiding! He's a very shy snake, he's always trying to put his head under something. (And if I'd waited for him to come out, Ron probably would have gotten bored and bitten him. Then he'd never come out from hiding ever again!)
