This was originally a sketch, but I felt the desire to fill it out fully with digital means when the other characters got ref-sheets I could use.
So, time for context...

Starwarriors has an RP discord, and I had joined it a while back with my first star warrior, Daterum. When he first arrived and joined the star warriors, his deathmarks were white and he had no powers. In order to grab and hold stuff, he needed a lot of help. In time on Polaris, he was able to make some friends that were willing to help him. These friends came with Daterum to his place in the barracks to make prosthetics so he could grab, hold, and make things like the toymaker use to. With this delighted hobby restored to him, Daterum offered to make these friends a few things they wanted/needed. Among those things, these were the first two gifts he made for some friends. Parvorbital, a shinx that instantly died from an failed experiment, wanted a satchel with a specific color pattern on it. (That was a pain to copy, cut, then paste. but it did teach me how to use a certain tool.) Daterum obviously made it for him, but also fit a dog plushie for him to enjoy. As for Tim, the riolu who died by spiritual means, Daterum gave him a music box he could listen to while the little guy went digging as a hobby. Neither of them asked for these toys from my former kangaroo, but he wanted to do it anyway since it made them happy. When he became a star warrior he was given the name Daterum, which meant "Giver" where he was from, and he intends to live up to that name. Giving things to people that would make them happy or ease some pain. Be it a toy or gift that brings hope or simple give them some of his time to listen and talk with.
