In terms of character design, that's a very cute and visually appealing Louie, though the pink lines against the light-grey background makes it a bit of a eyestrain to look at, at least for me! I think I'd advise using a black background if you'll be using such brightly-coloured lines. It'd be easier on the eyes and give a cool neon sign look to the drawing as well!
