Glass of water 3D
Ok, so once in a great while - say, once every few hundred years - I experiment with something new. Once in an even greater while I actually enjoy the new stuff I've tried and go on with it further. This time it was 3D drawing. And this time was one of those rare cases I did enjoy the experiment and its outcome and I will eventually do another, one day, when I'm not too lazy or bored to.
The technique. Simple, I took a random picture of the simplest glass of water I could find on google and tried to draw it a little bit deformed so that if seen at a certain angle it will regain its original shape. Or mostly. This is actually a quick sketch, a couple of hours or so (yes, this is my definition for "quick"), almost no details to it, but details were not the point here. The point is the 3D illusion. Which I found out actually requires a camera to be truly convincing.
If you have anything to say about 3D drawing techniques, tips, secrets, suggestions, whatever, they shall be welcome since this is really my very first attempt at 3D and I know nothing of it yet.
Anyway.
