He named him Ray.
There are old scars on his back.
nails darker than paw pads.
There are sideburns and a small beard on the cheeks and muzzle.

In general, I don't have much experience in creating references, so for me this is a new and interesting experience, and therefore here you can see the shortcomings in the work itself... but...
I am very glad that I was able to do exactly what he wanted. ❤
