When the news talked about a huge wolf, hardly anyone believed the story. How big should a wolf become?
Very big, as it should turn out.
The earth trembled at regular intervals as I made my way through the city. I drove fleeing masses of small people before me, like panicked insects, while I carelessly dragged my hands through the facades of some skyscrapers, which collapsed behind me and whose debris caused further victims.
I was in no hurry. There was still a lot to see and the different reactions of the little people below me fascinated me. Some fled, while others pressed fearfully against the walls of the houses. Cars, people smaller kiosks were simply trodden flat and trampled under my paws. Nothing could escape me if I wanted it to, and so I even picked out most of the victims deliberately.
My attention, however, was on something else. From the side a streetcar approached, which looked too tempting not to step on it.
I raised my paw and took a heavy step forward. Thousands of tons of flesh, bone and fur landed on the defenseless train, which immediately gave way in the middle and was flattened. The people inside could not believe their eyes as they looked at the bloodied underside of my paw and realized too late that it was approaching them.
Mercilessly they were crushed in their little streetcar, like little ants. And just like that, I forgot about them the moment I took the next step to see and stomp more of this city.
So with my bus full of living snacks, I walked on, eager to see what else was in store for me.
