There's an odd feeling I get when I approach the tablet these days- Unease. And frustration. I told everyone I'd have a little comic to give away at FWA and AC, but I can't think of a compelling story that won't take dozens of pages. Plus, all of my web drawings look like shit printed on paper because I use GIMP, and I don't think I could learn a new program in time. Plus, I put a surprising amount of work into my little web doodles; I depend on the undo button in my workflow. When I draw on paper, I make the "crtl-z" motion with my left hand when I screw up a line, which is a frequent event.
In short, I don't want to put my creative efforts into a rushed and mediocre product. I might make a little All-Wolves comic or something, but I can't bear to bottle up my daily doodles for some collection that will end up being disappointing and not a fair representation of my work.
I have a lot of respect for those of you who are making sequential art. You don't have it easy.
EDIT: I'll do my best to produce something. If it works out, I'll make it, and if not, then I won't print it. I'm just worrying too much about something that is usually nothing but a joy.

ahh dang. Yeah, either of those would probably be decent upgrades. I can understand not wanting to switch considering that each program draws and renders lines differently, and like 90% of your work is based on line quality. I don't know what the main differences between the programs are, most of my work is photo-based so I don't really leave the realm of photoshop/lightroom/illustratior
Why dont you do a series of one page comics for a little comic book that chronographs Your character of choice's week, in pages by days. ( maybe some days take two pages?
They can be a little cheek warming take on a adorable, pleasant fellow's life in a week. Something sweet and simple. Maybe a week leading up to FWA or AC?
:3 I think its a very thematic idea.

but then i noticed that your plot line didn't make sense on page 3, and i couldn't forgive you for that. you dyed your hair blue. you listened to Simple Plan. we ate breakfast at different tables. i didn't chip in when you wanted to major in music theory. we stopped talk altogether. 10 years later, i took out page 3, and i was okay with you again, and we hugged.
Don't fret man! Don't let it become a daunting task! I might make a bunch of homemade stickers to give out, which is what I did at AC last year. I was a little bummed though, some people I gave stickers to didn't even remember who I was later.
Maybe you can just make some magnets with your art on them, or print stickers.
