In the city, relative calmness reigns over all species living there, until predators start their night hunts, a question may arise, Is there some kind of deterrent for these hunters? And the answer is, of course, there is, the police force, many different species, prey, and predator are able to join their ranks, assigned in pairs to regular patrols, driven by a sense of justice that prevails through adversities, enforcing the law, and taking offenders to prison, safeguarding prey and predator the same.

That’s what the answer would be if things were so easy, the reality is often disappointing, after all, in a city where predators have total freedom to hunt whoever they want, tensions are bound to happen between prey and predator, truth is that some mammals genuinely want to improve the world, though they are overshadowed by those that are looking for connections, or just working for the sake of work, to get money and nothing else, that or selfish reasons in general. Predation is illegal of course, though predators rarely are charged, not because predation is rare, but because due to the nature of the crime, there is nothing left of the victims, and the police always say, without proof, there is no crime, in most cases, a token investigation is made, which usually leads to filing yet another cold case, and the victim is most likely never seen again.

Those times when there have been arrests for predation, it had to do with the disappearance of an influential mammal or a relative of someone with high status, those were the rare occasions, where offenders received the full weight of the law. An extremely rare sight in the city.

Yet another bit of lore from the universe im still creating, drew something related to the topic so I can practice on my shading technique
