This one really made me pause for thought. Somewhere in the back of my mind I always knew that this art existed somewhere in my sketchbook, I just wasn't expecting to find it dated from two thousand nineteen when I discovered again and the flood of memories that came back upon seeing it.
In a transformation themed Telegram chat there was someone that was named BreeMonster that randomly contacted me, and discussing further they were a special type of creature indeed. Their character instantly captivated my attention.
A creature of their own design called a Geffin; one headed, six legged, three tails, large claws on their hindpaws and paws on their wings for clinging onto cliff faces, but also with a tough hide with scales under all their fluff. Bree absolutely reveled in this creature being a fierce predatory monster on the outside, and would enjoy stalking someone from afar only to pounce upon them and nuzzle them ferociously.
Me and Bree got along spectacularly, and Bree greatly enjoyed transformation and getting changed, of which I was happy to do. One day I decided to just change their entire species and go overboard with making a multifur out of them.
Four heads with a rank of three across and the fourth growing from the shoulders above the middle head, each head having five eyes, splitting their legs at the joints to extend down to two paws on the end of each limb, two sets of wings with a smaller set on their midlegs, and also giving them a tailhead on the end of each of their tails.
But of course that wasn't enough so I replicated their body to make a train out of them, ten bodies long, with the trailing bodies still having the triple tailheads on them.
Bree loved it, and since it sounded like a difficult challenge I wanted to try and draw at least the first body to give a show of what it was that I'd turned them into so they too had an accurate picture of it, though the tailheads must've come in at a later point.
I'm extremely pleased with how this turned out, given the complexity of it all.
Then May twenty-fifth, two thousand twenty-one.
Bree and I would chat off and on and keep on roleplaying stuff until they didn't answer my Telegram messages at this time. I really didn't pay much mind to it as names in Telegram often go silent for a time, but then Bree's name slipped further and further and further down the list until a month later on June sixteenth, two thousand twenty-one I sent another message to nothing. And another on June twenty-first. Still nothing.
I got rather concerned and thankfully because Telegram listed we had another group in common I went there and inquired.
Bree was gone. They'd passed away in their sleep on May twenty-sixth, just after the last time we'd actually exchanged a few messages on May twenty-fifth.
Really this was devastating to lose someone with such a unique creature. They got a few arts of it on their FA profile but would always balk about doing any new commissions to get anything else done of it so I get the feeling that Bree just could never afford such a thing or thought that their creature wasn't worth the attention that it deserved.
So you know what? If they couldn't afford it, then I will.
Using one of my artist friends Jianre-M from DeviantArt whom I've done work with before, I'm getting a tribute to BreeMonster, showing off their ten body long Geffin'train form in all its glory so that their creature and creativity can be appreciated, even if Bree isn't around anymore to actually see this project come to its completion.
The saga only just recently ended for if you follow Bree's son's FA profile,
Raal-the-Gallade Raal The Gallade, FA, his father was only buried two years later, in two thousand twenty-three.
