It was the day of the Empire City zoo's annual customer appreciation day. Tickets were free and food was half priced, so you only had to pay four dollars for a hot dog, the zoo was going all out getting balloons of their star animal attractions, among them getting the most attention was the hippo queen herself Gloira. Helium balloons of her were dotted all over the zoo floating in the air ready to welcome the guests. Being a relatively new addition to the zoo Nala didn't receive much exposure only one dorky balloon that floated over her African themed enclosure. The lioness couldn't stand the sight of it, it looked off the right eye was a bit too big, it's torso misshapen, along with a patch on its rear.
The morning before the opening day Nala left her enclosure wandering around taking in the decorations searching for any that displayed her curvy graceful form. Her representation was scarce being relegated to the backgrounds of posters, insignificant souvenirs like nameplates, and not being in snow globe.
Instead, Gloria was the main star the large plump hippo was everywhere, pins, posters, and plush toys.
Nala's jealousy boiled, she never detected that someone was behind her until she felt a large form bump into her wide furry butt. Nala flailed and yelped all the way until her muzzle hit the concrete floor of the zoo pathway. For a few moments her vision was dazed, her eyes rolling in her head. As they slowly realigned, they cleared up the blurry gray form of her butt bumper. It was Gloria herself out for her morning stroll enjoying the time until opening.
She looked down at Nala with a smug grin, the zookeepers had done a great job with decorations this year, the balloons looked great the one of Nala caught her appearance perfectly, Gloria spoke. With that she walked away taunting the fallen lioness by slapping her plump rubbery butt.
Still on the ground Nala growled watching Gloria's generous backside stroll away. Out of the corner of her eye something caught her attention away from her rival. One of the supply sheds was slightly ajar and sticking out of it was a hose. A devious idea formed in her head, she ran over and opened it and was bit disappointed. It was an air pump, pretty big used for blowing up the air inflatables, but it was perfect for her plan.
Nala caught up to Gloria as she was returning to her pen and tapped her on the shoulder with her claw. The second Gloria turned her head, Nala plugged the end of the hose into Gloria's muzzle and immediately began pumping. In moments Gloria began blowing up like a balloon. Her belly, hips, and butt swelled growing wider and rounder. Gloria watched as her breasts ballooned out in front of her going from beach balls to yoga balls, and then to weather balloons. But what filled up the most to her shock was her head. Her cheeks, and muzzle expanded making it look like she drank an entire ponds worth of water. Her limbs were bloated limiting their movement, she couldn't reach the hose all she could do was feel her full inflated cheeks. This form was so humiliating even compared to her inflated body she looked like one of those dumb bobble heads they sold in the zoo store.
I thought the zoo was missing one more hippo balloon, those balloons didn't capture your image very well, Nala spoke. Let's see how big I can make you before we have to open up.
Gloria looked down in distress, at Nala. In her inflated form she was unable to do anything but feel her inflating cheeks with her swollen paws. An imaginary gauge in her mind was slowly approaching the letter F. Hopefully zoo patrons would arrive early.
