Hmm that station looks familiar... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hell_Station
Went thru there in 1981...

Longest train trip I ever took. Trondheim to Bodo - way above the Arctic Circle. 10 hours on the train, daylight the whole time - summer in the northern latitudes - Midnight Sun. Yes, everyone takes photos at that station and of the old light freight warehouse with the old sign in Norwegian Hell Gods Expedition (goods expediting) I swear I'd copy those buildings for a model train layout. Looked up HO scale engines of the type used in Norway - damn models are about $600 just for the engine... Cars are a few hundred each.
Prices are damn high in Norway and I was double checking the Dollar to Kroner exchange rate. roughly 10 Kr to the Dollar. Jeebus I remember when it was 5 to the $. Found a 500 Kr bank note washing down a gutter on a rainy day and picked it up. Mom yelled at me for grabbing something from the gutter - I unfolded it and went "You want me to toss it down the drain?" I bought good souveniers on that trip, nice hunting and fishing knife and some fishing equipment - still have it after all these years - was during the 1977 trip.
Hmmm did find some that start a bit over 300 Euros. https://en.nmj.eu/ Interesting engine types there - mainly electric but the line to the far north is still diesel.
*laughs... I could be wrong, but I thought I had an episode with a train wanting to come through.
My mother was born in a home that was right next to the tracks in a tiny little town. It was a spur line that serviced the local area. My grandmother told me a story about the engineer back blasting his smoke stack right next to her freshly hung wash getting soot all over everything - and then laughing when she yelled at him.

I've found a hidden hobby store that has a wonderful selection of model...
...tanks.
Okay, their train selection is huge, but I like the tanks that take up half a wall in the back corner. Still, I'll be hitting the model terrain section when I've painted up some similarly-scaled Soviet and German tanks and am ready to make a little Eastern Front diorama.
