My first actual griffin i worked on. Not bad *polished talons*. Boy was the face tough! Working on the beak with a slight head tilted downwards was a challenge for me. I don't know why ._. Seemed easier on digital sketching.
Anyways, i wanted to do something unique for this lovely couple. So i had Runa and his mate, Kynx, enjoying a nice sit down and enjoying each others company. Who can resist a nicely built griffin with maximum fluffiness for Lady Kynx ^-^.
Want to know more about the piece, just ask me! I'll be more than happy to answer your questions about this piece. NO negative comments...that will only lead to your slow downfall.

NOTE: Runa's mouth is open...you try shading a black beak with a contour line defining the edge of the beak and mouth xD

What was the most difficult detail? The feathers or the fur? Or were those easy? : P
I always ask people that because I know it can get rather repeatitive (but worth it).
But is it okay for me to call you cute? : )
But the MOST incredibly hard part was the face. I had to redo it many many times. At first it was way to cartoony like, then I made him too mad (then again, if you look at an eagles face, it's kinda always has that angry appearance.), then the beak was off and wanted him to have a smile but not too happy! So that took a long time. Eventually, i got it right. I don't have much practice with beaks of the aviary sort. I should though because i have 3 avian characters I'm going to sketch one day that's part of my series.
I see what you mean. It's a great deal of detail, but I think you pulled it off well. ~<3
Yeah, sure, it was a challenge, but that's what made it really fun to draw.
Oh yeah, I forgot about that. You have permission to post the colored version of Kynx and this as well :)
2) haha, nudes are much easier to draw than people with clothing xD
I like textures~~
