The final battle of Mageeto Tower was underway. A prison escape of dozens of captured and subjugated victims coincided with an invasion force of heroes from all ways coming together to save people and fight for loot and glory.
"He keeps cocooning them!" Crowley said, a flash of steel before he vanished, less than a shadow.
"I know." Custodis was meanwhile focusing. Hand outstretched, an orb of pulsing white light glowing in the palm of his hand. "I still can't believe you got me to sign on with this insane plan of yours." The orb pulsed of sparkling white dust, and the pegasus took a moment to swing his great hammer and knock away a rubber drone. "Which is why I don't think this will be enough! You can only distract so much!" Custodis returned to the orb, spreading his gold wings to focus around it as the light illuminated off his wings. "Reflect!" He shouted, and the orb pulsed a bloom of greater light. "There. Its ready!"
"I can distract just enough though!" Crowley vanished yet again, skipped space and reappeared 30m away, a swirl of katana spinning to hack out the legs of a giant goliath. "Speaking of, do it now!" The pulse of light washed across Crowley, the black dragon's body glowing with a bubble of white light before the bubble burst in a concussive wave of light. The wave spread out from him in all directions, breaking like fractals upon drones and goliaths and titans of rubber and latex. They all turned from what they were doing and where they were going, facing the dragon, and charging. "Whu-oh!" Crowley sheathed his katana, and went running.
"Crowley! Hold on, I'll pull their attention!" Custodis took a swipe to his plate armor, kicking back and flapping his wings to levitate a few feet from the ground, only to then use his great hammer as a cricket bat on a swarm of vacbats. "Crowley? Crowl--!" Crowley had vanished in the descending army of rubber drones and monsters that had honed in on him, vanishing in the moment Custodis wasn't looking. "Oh no. Crowley, I'm sorry, I... I was too la-"
"Whew." Only for Crowley to reappear a few feet away from Custodis. He withdrew his katana from its sheath, a tenebrous dragon coiling up his right arm from wrist to bicep. "That was a close one. Seems to have worked though. Make me the target of everyone's attention, then I vanish. Ready to do that again, Custodis? I have..." Crowley looked over his right arm, and the animated magical dragon tattoo curling his bicep. "Two- three more times I can do that. Meaning we can thin out this army even more before I'm out of vanish. Means we won't be getting to cut up that presumed big guy they're fighting on the tower, but I'm sure they'll save something for us."
Custodis blinked, then shook his head. He chuckled, wiping a tear and then shaking his head. "I thought you were... I... you were just... hah... hmm... Right- hah... ahm." Getting his game face on, the pegasus' eyes glowed with a gold white color. He hefted his great hammer over his shoulder, and summoned up another sphere of light spun from his pure will. "We distract, divide their lines, and conquer. Ready to go when you are then, Crowley."
CUSTODIS-
(Level 3) KNIGHT
Subclass- (BELOVED) knight
The KNIGHT-
Your beliefs are sacrosanct to who you are. They are the power you wield to alter the world around you to fit your beliefs. Whether because of religious background, experienced travel, personal conviction, a moment of revelation, having your faith shattered, or some other events which brought you to your current state of deeply held beliefs, you have been forged. You may be a holy warrior, or believe all life is a pox on the beauty of existence. You may fight for peace no matter how many people you have to kill to achieve it. You may have lost your parents to vagrant thugs in an alley filled with crime, and vow to become vengeance itself so no child is ever left the same way. Whatever your cause, that is your driving influence, your sacrosanct belief.
Beloved Knight-
Your will influences all things around you, and manifests in the form of the gold white light of your power. Like the legends of paladins of old, you are a warrior who leaps into war headlong, and commands the field of battle. Lightning manifested from the raw will of your soul strikes like fractal mirrors of luminous wrath. Your belief is that of the Beloved Knight, the favored one, the one who will always have the advantage of combat. Whether that is tangibly true or not, your will often will force it to become true. Whether it be controlling your foes, demanding their attention, or redirecting attention where you will it, the Beloved Knight cannot nor will not easily be felled.
CROWLEY- (Level 3)
ROGUE>
Subclass- Tenebrous
The ROGUE-
Fear not the fighter who has practiced with ten-thousand skills once. Fear the fighter who has practiced one skill then-thousand times. Such is your domain, rogue. You have honed a single craft that is unlike any other since the day your training began. While you may have any number of other skills to mix and play with in combat, the unseen action is without a doubt the most versatile card in your deck of abilities. It is not merely stealth, or subterfuge, or magic. It is something definable in only that you blend into a surrounding, vanishing from sight, and move and act unseen. When you then act next, you reappear and act with a great degree of skill and flourish on whatever you do.
Subclass- Tenebrous
The dark shadow obscura, the invisible hand, the hand of the dragon. Many names, but for as long as the rogue has walked the universe, so too has the ultimate perfection of the rogue's art. It is not merely to vanish and act unseen, but to travel the unseen path. The path of the dragon, as those who fear that dark ancient magic call it. They are only known by the winding serpentine that coil with unknown purpose upon them when they evoke their mysterious art. A rogue trains their whole life to master many things, but the ability to move in the unseen action is pushed one step further with the awakening of the path of the dragon. Some say the tenebrous cheat death itself to walk into an unknowable void, only to reappear where and when they will. Others claim it is merely tricks of the light. Only the Tenebrous Rogue knows for certain.
