I miiiiight've had this happen with the recent Hazel comic where someone translated the very nsfw niviean dialogue to english fairly accurately... So I've since changed that dialogue to random song lyrics.
I gotta really overhaul the niviean text, I like how it looks for the most part (looking somewhat alien) but since it's just a 1:1 translation of english letters to these glyphs it's not really all that hard to figure out what's being said (it seems).

No. The language is based loosely on Japanese. That being a syllabic language and each syllable has its own symbol. When you have over 400 syllables, that's a lot of "letters" to remember when you write the language. For example, two syllables could be /, and /'. Each syllable has a different pronunciation. The / would be a consonant sound and the , or ' would be a vowel sound.
