You might be embarrassed to show D going shopping, but I live for this domestic shit. Bulky badasses beating up bad guys is fun and all, but it doesn't MEAN anything if it's all they do! That's one thing I love about Meatware: you've got a beefcake, but you don't just give him an endless stream of asses to kick. Heck, pretty much the first thing you had him do was cry! And I'm loving every minute of it. <3

I gotta ask, is gene splicing that heavily so common that no one thinks D's behavior/habits (including the fact he never actually speaks) are a bit odd if not suspicious? Just wondering cause it seems "off" shall we we say that no one questions that stuff unless they already know.

Gene tech is *very* common. Pretty much everyone has tiny gene mods, but most are for improved health & mild appearance adjustments, like giving yourself purple hair color or something like that. The store clerk herself here has an implant hat lets her listen to music through her hand, built-in headphones basically.

A spliced croc face is more on the eccentric side, about as weird as someone with full facial tattoos would be today. A bit crazy but not impossibly so. And speaking through a terminal would be like someone with a hearing aid today.

It does depend what part of town you're in, Iki's shop is on the scummier side of town. So gene modded punks are more common as well. Instead of gangs with tats you got gangs with animal heads.

Odd characters doing everyday things is a great idea that we should see more often!
