He has a bit of body dysmorphia related to his own tail and generally prefers to have it presented as a skunk’s (or at the very least, having a longer tail on certain occasions). It’s an idea I’m still tinkering a bit with but will hopefully have it more concrete as time goes on.
Ahh... I find that an interesting reason. I got a little curious about grisons and they don't exactly seem to have long tails to begin with. He would definitely pass for a skunk well given he is a mustelid. They're not too removed from mephits, after all. ...That and they could technically use a similar form of defense if it ever came to it, given what I looked up, adding to the believability.
