This creature looks frightening, but is actually quite harmless. It is blind and orients itself in space thanks to the growths on its front. When it touches the ground, it can pick up many vibrations around it and remember them. These projections are also used for nourishment. They are similar to earthworms that eat the earth, get nutrients, and then get rid of it. This Hydra does the same thing, but by tearing out whole canals in the process of feeding. The bone patterns on their bodies can emit a faint light in the dark, attracting small insects to be eaten along with the soil. These creatures can also be trained to search for certain minerals, and can also be used to loosen crops.
