Toy Foxy Redesign (SFW ver)
ever since i first saw Mangle in fnaf2 i always thought that the second head was meant to be a hand-puppet character, like Rolfe and Earl from Rockafire Explosion. even if at the time i didnt know their names lol.
after i came back to the fandom for SB i eventually found out about fnaf AR, and Mangle's voicelines, which included a second voice, so, i think that head's meant to be there and isnt random stuff the kids slapped onto him.
i know the redesign doesnt look very different from most others', but thats cus theres not much to work with lol. only so much you can do with a white n pink fox. although i think i did pretty good for what its worth, i dont often redesign fnaf characters.
i was originally going to give Bloom a body like Earl, but decided against it when i saw how complex her head design was and i liked her enough like that.

aaah, i remember seeing that idea more often back in the day, seeing people make full-size parrots or other foxes and blending them into what wouldve likely been toy foxy's original design. hearing phone guy say that they've got a bunch of spare parts mixed in (iirc; its been a while since ive heard him yap) or just players noticing the many extra limb bits alongside the second head.
though i think it started falling a bit 'out of fashion' between fnaf:sl/funtime freddy and bonbon being made, and at a point where the fandom was starting to become more interested in real-life animatonics. people were discovering Rolfe DeWolfe and his handpuppet Earl Schmerle who were likely the main insperations for FT.freddy and bonbon. so people started applying the same idea to mangle/toy foxy, though usually as a shoulder parrot to make them more like classic foxy the pirate fox, at least form what ive seen.

Yeah, I can see that. I also thank you for posting something OG FNaF in recent years. I don't know about you, but every time I pop onto AO3, or Fanfiction.net, Nobody will SHUT UP about Security Breach or SOTM, and it's nice to take a break from those games. (Also, since it literally rewrote the fundamentals of the FNaF lore, SECRET OF THE MIMIC SUCKS!!)
I found fnaf1 when fnaf3 had come out, but went cold turkey on the whole series some years ago after around SL/FNAFW, not because of those games themselves, but because of the fandom arguing about the lore. I couldn't take people not shutting up about the lore which to me was clearly either (A) never meant to be fully known (meaning theorizing was always going to be for naught) or (B) being made up per game/on the spot (meaning theorizing was always going to be for naught).
it wasn't until SB that I came back kinda by accident. was watching AstralSpiff's poppy playtime stuff when CH1 and CH2 were new and discovered it. was weird hearing a bit later that there was a whole game - PS - between SB and SL that I had also never caught wind of.
and I have bias. feel like finding SB 'fixed' my art - helped me find a way to draw that I actually enjoy. I didn't stick to how I was doing it at the time I found it, cus that's not how art works, but I've retained a lot of techniques that I used when I first 'started again' from that time.
but seeing what a mess SB and PS were, just accepted that option (B) was 100% the correct one, and have made the active choice to ignore really as much of the lore as possible. I'll sometimes throw my own ideas out there, because it is hard to completely disregard it - fnaf was founded on messy lore and people's guessing about it - but i just make 1 stream-of-thought ramble journal and call it a day and go back to drawing my nsfw and adoptables. Because that's the fun option to me.
