A commission by Fuzzwolf, and the first of many commissions that will feature this sexy foxy. See, Fuzz, bring the writer that he is, and writing a book. Go figure. And each chapter will have an oh-so-sexy illustration by me. This picture will be both the promotional cover, and the advertisement piece that will be posted on Furnation when he gets the time. I'll be sure to post a link in my journal when I get some more information.
I'm gradually getting the hang of special techniques in Painter! But now I think it's time for me to start working on inanimate objects. :) Had a bit of trouble with that brick wall.

You do swishy-gay so well. I gotta try having you draw cobalt some time.
As for backgrounds and other inanimate objects - yeah, gotta brush up on those. I've seen lots of artists who draw amazing figures, but can't draw a doorknob to save their lives. It helps a lot if you can put the same detail into the figure and setting.
Something you might want to do: grab a copy of this book:

It's a behind-the-scenes look at the batman animated series, with tons of images, front to back. I pull this out, every time I need to convince myself to put more effort into a background. I've also cribbed design elements from it.

Lapin suggested the pose and came up with the outfit himself. I gave him these links to reference pictures on my website for the character description: http://www.fuzzwolf.com/trevorfuzzbadge.jpg and http://www.fuzzwolf.com/ts-LookieHere.jpg Trev's description has always been the same, sorry.
