Ethcat 's Pokémon trainer Thomas thought they were volunteering for an expeditionary team to venture into paldea's Tera Raid dens alongside his pokemon. They told him he'd be a centerpiece the crew, utilizing brand new technology to it's fullest... and didn't explain much else. Not even as they closed the door to the subtly reinforced 'orientation waiting room'..
