As mentioned previously, at the same time I created Maisy and Zuki, my buddy Roequ made a "K-Junior" based on the "Muppet on acid" baby Godzilla, Minya, resulting in the far-far-cuter Min-Chan. By dint of the three girls' near-simultaneous creation and similar ages, they became best friends, the "Ed, Edd, and Eddy" of NeoMonster Island.
It worked out wonderfully, in my eyes, because Ro created Min to be a VERY traditional Sasami-style Japanese girl, which balanced out the hedonistic capitalistism of Maisy and the free-spirited innocence of Zuki perfectly. Min was very proper, very well-mannered and graceful, and she made it her goal to turn her two chaotic friends into "proper young women" with gusto...and, as you can see here, with mixed resukts.
...leave it to Zuki to find the only "smiley-face" kimono in Japan.
