I went to Rouge's place to celebrate her birthday as well as Shadow's, so it would be inappropriate not to include their mechanical teammate Omega in this celebration that may or may not be revealed to me to have been shared on Mobian social media, considering this is Rouge's FORTIETH (four decades!!) birthday we're talking about (I'm not gonna lecture about canon ages right now, sorry) and she's the kind of woman to be an active influencer... I sure hope people will leave supportive comments about me if I end up there.
Yeah, Shadow is eating Yirgacheffe ('yir-ga-ch'ef-fé') coffee beans with a hidden stainless steel spoon straight from the bag with the silhouette of a map of Ethiopia with the region where the beans were farmed highlighted in red. That's why there are coffee-coloured stains on his mouth.
Consuming coffee this way might be strange, especially to Ethiopians (whose country is where the arabica kind is said to have originated), but at least he's supporting coffee farmers in southeast Ethiopia by buying it (he's a humanitarian, and yes, that IS canon. SEGA has revealed it several times in the Twitter Takeovers).
Now I better prepare for the big blue man's birthday, the same birthday date as that of the big engineering genius that's been his arch enemy in the games for the last 32 years. June is tiring. -.-;
