Gods Chosen- The Paths we Follow
There is a lot that's going on in this chapter that is not apparent or looks to be an oversight but really isn't. Other than maybe the occasional grammatical mistake the only real error might have been me not stylizing their dialog at the end enough to really drive home they don't think like most races so the ways their sentences are formed don't line up. The only thing I think is important to really share as it doesn't spoil the effort is the four boned necklace. Alkilraen have a very loose hierarchical structure. Whenever you have a group of Alkilraen gather, one will be chosen to be the one in charge of the group. They'll dictate their position by wearing a necklace with a bone attached to it, typically just from whatever animal they ate last. However, if someone else is decided to be the leader instead, the one with the bone necklace will hand it off and they become leader instead. When you have a bunch of groups all together (like you would in a city or an army) then these leaders will pick one from amongst themselves who is the one that speaks for them. This person will be given a second bone to wear. The one in charge of everyone in their field of expertise (your generals, your secretaries of the interior, etc.) will have a third bone on their necklace. And finally the ones ruling the country, the king or queen will wear four bones around their neck. Their authority is kind of hereditary as the children of the monarch are often groomed on how to lead, but there is nothing stopping them from simply abdicating their authority to one with 3 bones, or all the three bones demanding they give up their power.
