Like my announcement, my character Bristy "Knife" Perreault (nee Campbell) is now retiring.
I first created her back in the early 2000's as a character for an "Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog" fan-made episode. I originally intended her to be a one-shot character but I was persuaded to keep her and even have her be the wife of my first character, Bat. After creating her, I ended up creating two hedgehog Marine Drill Instructors named Jazen Anderom and Zagger Hinderson. Later, I decided to give Bat and Knife children. It started with one and eventually two, then three, then four. To round out the group, I created another Air Force fighter pilot character, a wolf named Roland Schwartz, which has gone through a redesign. Bristy has been with me for the past two decades and I'm so glad I created her.
Today, June 21, 2023, the first day of summer, Colonel Bristy "Knife" Campbell, has officially retired from the United States Marine Corps. She flew her last aerial patrol today in an F-35B Lightning II.
What's next for her? Who knows.
Side note, the ring on Bat's right hand is his Air Force Academy class ring.
