An anthro cat walks through a ruined city, looking for other anthros to turn into cats. Unfortunately, they end up caught by a moth.
This is part story and part setting idea: After some sort of transformation apocalypse, the vast majority of humans have been transformed into anthros, each with an innate sense of pride in their species and a drive to transform everyone into their species, via unique methods for each species. Normally I dislike manipulating the victim's mind to enjoy the thing they were resisting, and I STRONGLY dislike permanent situations (physical or mental), but with the fact that everyone is already mentally transformed it doesn't feel bad at all. And nothing is permanent because you'd be lucky to keep your species for more than a week. It's just kinda fun and silly.
This story was inspired by my previous story with the spider cocoon, and I though a cocoon would be a good way to TF someone into a butterfly! Then I learned that butterflies use a chrysalis, so I switched to a moth. I had something similar to the "transformation city" idea before, involving various tacokurt-inspired monsters that transform any human that enters the city into a new monster. I swear there was some concept in tacokurt's work about a monster-infested city but I can't find it now. I can't even find that story where Bloop works as an uber driver.

I'm glad you liked the idea! Unfortunately, transformation isn't really my usual thing, so I doubt I'll be using this again. I did have an idea for what this setting would look like far in the future, but I'm not writing a story for that, so I'll just put a quick summary here since you're interested:
Far into the future, after generations of having their DNA rewritten over and over, the anthros grow numb to the excessive pride in their species and to the need to transform others. They make peace and rebuild civilization, and allowing yourself to be transformed becomes a common part of life, either recreationally or for practical reasons. It can be done with convenient (but somewhat expensive) transformation kits, or personally by someone you know or by a licensed professional.
