Scab is the antagonist of Tash's story. Orxon and Mecta do a lot of things that an average person might consider bad. Polluting other planets, continuing to destroy what's left of Orxon's wildlife, abusing workers via unchecked occupational hazards and poor pay.
Scab is an "average person" in that regard.
Scab(I'm still trying to decide a "real" name for her) was an arguementative young college student with an ambition for bettering the world. She's the only daughter of a wealthy couple who live on Psyche, Orxon's moon.
During spring break, she exploited her parents' status to access unreleased tech in Megacorp's research center. The technology in question involved "equipment associated with the transfer of memories and knowledge between minds of similar composition."
Scab transferred the experiences and training of a frontline soldier from an unnamed military unit, known only by its motto "By all means". This particular soldier had experience in regime change and infrastructural dismantlement.
The extent of neural and psychological damage suffered by Scab is unknown, though Megacorp's researchers stress the unsafety of the equipment she used. They do not have long-term data to suggest pathology for the transfer Scab underwent and have postulated a DID-like split in her consciousness.
Scab dropped out of her third year of college and withdrew a significant amount of bolts from her trust fund immediately following the incident.
She disappeared shortly afterward.
That quote summarizes the kind of person she's become. I always liked the Spectre, so I gave her one. Chickhawk (obviously) did great with her.
