Valentines: Simple As That
"I was sick in bed. Stupid cold. I have been trying to fight this virus for a while. This happened unexpectedly and at the wrong time. Valentines day was coming and I wanted to go out to dinner with my boyfriend. I was too sick to speak and my body too weak to move. My boyfriend spent the night looking after me the day before Valentines day. He wanted to go out to dinner with me, having already booked a table at an expensive restaurant I wanted to go to for a while. It was on the news and was one of a few classy places that was recommended by magazines and the news. But he understood my condition and had to cancel it. I felt terrible. I even had a sexy outfit I was going to surprise him with after dinner. Ill never get a chance to wear it on Valentines day night. We had the perfect Valentines Day planned and now its a wash-out...
The next morning, I awoke to him entering my room, holding a tray of hot home-made soup and orange juice. He placed it on my lap and smiled. He gave me a small flower and kissed my forehead, wishing me a happy valentines day. Best breakfast and Valentines gift, ever."

I did two images for Valentines day this year: one adult image on my
agentletouch and this one. Valentines day has grown into a day where one celebrates their love physically and sexually. This is like any other day, but more pushed on by merchandise and the media, urging people to express their love through sexual activity and candy. Everyone is somewhat "required" to do this to fully celebrate this day. But I just feel like a simple and kind gesture to the offering of a small flower to breakfast in bed and beyond is more than enough.

One small suggestion: In the sentence "It was on the news and was one of a few classy places that was recommended by magazines and the news.", you can probably remove "and the news" at the end, since it's already implied by the start and sounds a little redundant. "Magazines also sounds classier than the "news", so it fits better as an subtle escalation. Returning to "news" a second time kinda loses that effect.

Not sure about his current status, but 
was open for commissions for days back in January. Last fall, he filled up within minutes or hours, but pretty much anyone had a chance for a February slot. I do know what it's like to miss commission slots though. I've been trying for months to get one of 
's winter icon slots, and they're always full within minutes after popping up without warning. Oh well.
