An absolutely wonderful commission for LittleDashBull!

I was thrilled to do a "Baby's first garden" theme as it gave me big nostalgia of my own first garden. The very first thing I grew were strawberries with my mom's help. I remember it had a little white wire fence around it and I had little green plastic garden tools and an oversized sun hat.

There's an old photo floating around somewhere in storage of little me gardening, but the memory was strong enough to use it as inspiration for Dashie!

The end result is something I am absolutely in love with, especially considering the style and method of how I completed this were very different from my usual. The background is a nod to Van Gogh, while the figure is inked in a style I use for symmetry portraits. The inking took the longest and while it was a struggle, I got it all inked and the colors just flowed. <3

I cannot thank Dashie enough for the opportunity to create a piece that's a mix of both old and new! <3333
