It was pointed out to me that the last version of the C. Battleship had some errors, i forgot what they were since i had been drowning myself in Fallout 3 and have finally pulled myself away to post some art.
x48 SAM sillo's(sp)
x36 20mm AA Turrets
x7 160mm guns
x3 10mm guns
Plenty of room for torpedo's and depth chargers.
Was going to include a heli-pad but felt it'd take up room for weapons... so i didn't model one in. Given the size of the ship and the fact i believe VTOL heli's like the ones i model are perfect for landing in tight spots one 'could' land one between the SAM silo's and the tower.
Pretty much all i can think of to explain, now if you'll excuse me, going to make yet another attempt at a Gauss Rifle.
Modeled in Google Sketchup 7.
Enjoy~

Well, railguns and gauss rifles rely on the same principle, or at least quite similar ones.
However I doubt they can be transported by personnel, at least efficient ones cannot, given their efficiency and the efficiency of modern-day power supply and storage systems.
However a railgun turret, some sort of a main cannon, would be more than sufficient to sink a slow-moving target, such as an aircraft carrier.
