Bucksapony is like Puxatawny Phill, the groundhog that is dragged out to check for his shadow on Groundhog Day to determine the fate of spring's arrival(which I believe is total nonsense) but in this case, Bucksapony checks for his shadow to determine if Applebuck Season will arrive sooner or later on his own and here he's just coming out (yes I know Groundhog Day was a couple of weeks ago but this only came up in my head today).
