Dominic "Skunk Boy" Mephitto's Asexual Pride Adventure
Some more Pride Month Prideposting, this time featuring my main 'sona, Skunk Boy, representing the asexuals.
His outfit is (unintentionally) the ace pride flag minus purple anyways.

I feel a bit weird talking about "asexual pride", since it's not something that sees much active discrimination or anything (and sorta feels like bragging about NOT playing a game, watching a show, etc. to me at least), but over the years as I came to realize this is where I fit on the sexuality spectrum, I have noticed there *is* a lot of people trying to invalidate asexuality or just questioning its existence--my parents thought I was gay since I showed no interest in girls in high school (and since I showed no interest in boys either but drew cartoon animals sometimes, I think they thought I was into animals), and I get asked rather frequently how I can have fetishes, tastes in body types, etc. if I'm not interested in smashing.
Oh, and how can Skunk Boy have a romantic partner if he's not particularly interested in sex, as though romance and sexuality are synonymous.
Asexuality is hella confusing, for sure, but I guess the best way I can explain it as it applies to me is, I can feel arousal and stuff, some fetish stuff and some character types and fantasies work for that, but I have zero interest in actually bumping uglies with another creature in meatspace.
If a dimensional rift opened in my bedroom right now and characters of mine I thought were actually attractive/arousing, like Buck Donner and Tex, stepped through the portal and wanted to smash RIGHT NOW I'd definitely find myself saying "no thanks, let's go hang out instead".
Oh, also I'm technically bisexual since I have the same level of interest in male and female, and technically correct is the best kind of correct!
This pic was originally going to use one of my nature walk photos as a background until I decided "no I want to express this since June is Pride Month and when we talk openly about this stuff" and went with the ace pride flag instead.
Weird rant over. I have no idea how to talk about this stuff anyways lol. Just gotta let people vibe, I guess. Tomorrow will be the return of your regularly scheduled posting of cringe on main and/or cuteposting.

Good memory! I did, in fact, design a child for him and Tex a while back, although he was never officially canon. I just figured neither Skunk Boy nor Tex were exactly ready to have kids at the time, if that makes any sense in a setting where I'm not really actively depicting characters growing over time.
As to how that ties into asexuality, asexuals can still *have* sex, they just generally aren't interested in it from what I understand. If they wanted to have a kid, they could still do it.

You're welcome! I explained things a bit better and more thoroughly in the description, but basically asexuality is best thought of as a disinterest in/discomfort with sex. We can still do romance, have fetishes and dirty thoughts, feel arousal, and if we *really* like someone, sex is still possible.
You've probably noticed that for as shameless as I am about drawing my various 'sonas showing off their dump truck asses in underwear (or diapers) in very suggestive poses, and how blunt I can be about just about any other topic I discuss, I have an aversion to being too open and direct about sex talk lol.
I do still want to have Skunk Boy and Tex have a kid at some point, it would be more of an "in the near future" thing for them. A few people have said he'd make a good father, although maybe he'd do better as an uncle since he could show up, be a dork, and leave before he has a chance to screw up a child's development *too* much.

I see what you mean, I think. From an technical standpoint I shifted from drawing everything at ~1000px tall/wide to ~1250px a couple months back--after a commission where the client seemed disappointed I didn't have a high-res version for him, I decided it might be time to go a bit bigger while still trying to keep the file sizes manageable and not requiring a bunch of resizing just to fit on screen.
Oh, and working at a 4K resolution would make it painfully obvious just *how* untalented and lazy I actually am!
But if you mean in an artistic way, I have been enjoying drawing him a bit rounder and curvier overall even if it's not all that realistic (and I have lost weight IRL but for every pound I lose, he seems to find two), and the pose is a bit more "vulnerable" I suppose, he looks a bit bashful in a way.
