Prince Whitney is a somewhat distant relative of the king of Trechtnor. Nevertheless, he still qualified as having a claim to the throne. So long as at least a dozen of his relatives were to pass on, and a plague of madness swept through the nobility, he'd be a shoe in to be the next ruler. As a result, the young prince liked to play up his claim to royalty.

At 24 years of age he spent most of his time dressing up and going to parties or just satisfying any desire he could possible have. This eventually led him to taking along journey to the distant land of Lysandria. Along the way he decided that it would save time if his retinue would cut through a nearby forest. His guards asked him to reconsider. The lands were owned by clan Hookfang, a powerful clan of gnolls that didn't take kindly to intruders. He silenced those arguments, however. He was a prince, after all. They would do as they were told.

Cut to a few days later and Whitney has found himself in the paws of the Hookfang clan. Their leader, Grunarr, was busy with one of the hired mercenaries where were there to keep Whitney safe. Whitney himself has caught the attention of a pair of gnolls named Rekarr and Shoo. The duo found the gazelle's fiesty attitude very cute.

But, of course, they found him just a biiiit too skinny.
