His GC is Silly Race (yes, really...it's supposed to be a reference to Marble Madness), giving him power over the concept of erasure, allowing him to steal/take away things, including other concepts. Here, Shax erased someone's depth, therefore turning them into a piece of paper and allowing him to interrogate them over a pool.
