After she showed up, she was literally selling issues. We kept coming back just for her. Chris Allan's superior designs for the turtles and Splinter, and Dean Clairain's more mature storylines were just a side benefit. I'm considering getting in contact with Chris and asking if he can possibly do a miniseries or one shot that details how Ninjara was exiled, and who trained her (her grandmother or someone who worked for Chien Khan are my guesses).
She is in the ongoing Forever War 6-issue comic (Allan on art again, thank God)...but she's an alt-reality version that uses guns instead of swords, and has no knowledge of the name "Ninjara"...not as good a fighter as the Umeko we're used to. Got issues 1-5, waiting for 6 to be finished.
