JuPrerre is an elven lyrebird woman. She specializes in giving years of life to mortals who have enough money to interest her, and taking them from mortals who are dumb enough to get into debt with her. She's also a master impressionist, though she never cares to show it off.

Remmy, formerly a male human, is her personal decoy. He was tricked into signing a contract for her, thinking he was going to become her bodyguard. Instead, he became her personal decoy and now has to spend the foreseeable future as her identical twin. He goes everywhere she goes, dresses as she dresses, lives as she lives, presents himself as she does. He even talks just like her.

That's all part of his job now. And since JuPrerre is an elf (meaning so is Remmy), there's no telling if the job will ever end.
