A prehistoric "bear-dog" (bear sized, bear-shaped, but an active hunter derived from wolflike ancestors). Based on a mount at the AMNH.
I did goof up with one detail, but I'll leave it to you guys to figure it out.

I was going to ask: so when will you be illustrating a book on cryptozoology? But then you mention the calender, that'll do ;D
You have rendered it out so well, it looks pro and thorough, that's why I suggested the book...
I can't guess errors either, maybe the eyes would face more to the front on a predator, or if it's old enough to not have developed modern day mammalian genitals that show on the outside. I am assuming ancient mammals were a bit more like marsupials there (but not as specialized yet).

These were placental mammals, they were actually slightly closer relatives of ungulates and basal whales than Carnivoria, but filled the same niches, so its naughty bits would probably be the same, more or less. The eyes were indeed further down on the skull and farther apart than modern carnivores.
Man, I'd love to do a whole book on crytpozoology, but I lack the energy and self-esteem needed to promote myself in the publishing industry. I figured a calendar would be nice and useful, at least.
