How is walking in those? Do you have to be careful how you walk without the back part there?? o.o

I was actually just wondering the same thing. I assume that you walk tiptoe, and there IS support on the bottom of the shoe to keep its shape....but I dunno.

and yes, they require walking on tip-toes, but there's no heel part to catch you if you fall (requires strength in the legs if you're going up stairs, but very good with normal "walking")

I assume its less if your used to going up the stairs on your tiptoes anyways XD

Yes and no ^^;
depends on how big the steps are I guess...
The stairs in my house have 22cm depth of usable step "space" (which doesn't leave very much room for error)
Going down can be a little difficult (I'm used to using heels for that)

but the way around that problem of small steps is to walk sideways xD

yeaah down stairs I could see being hard, but I have gotten into a habit of going up with just my toes anyways. Mostly because of *small* steps lol. Now I wouldn't wanna go running up stairs being chased by zombies like that but it works for normal circumstances.

What kind of fur is this? I've been looking for a shade of gray like that forever...

from what I can tell, this grey is a two tone, it's undercoat is darker than the top... a typical wolf fur. Common to find.

if your looking for the solid silver like on my suit (by joecifur) it's incredibly hard to find

Goodness o-o We have very similar fursonas! The bodysuit on yours is almost exactly what I'm hoping to make.

I could probably work with a two-tone, natural fur, though, since I tend to work a little more realistic anyway (actually, I'm totally incapable of doing a suit cute and 'toony to save my life it seems >< )

similar, but not the same x3 A lot of Lynx I find are very similar.

lol, yeah, I mostly meant the spots ^ ^ Usually just the Eurasian lynxes have spots.

I'm pretty use to walking tip-toed so I think I may commission you one day for a pair just like this! They look more real and walking tip-toed is fun :)

the only disadvantage is aesthetic- your foot dosnt look as long so its not as BAM- DIGITGRADE!. Its subtler, but the slack is taken up by that you can have prettier toes.

Not cheaper tho, no.

An advantard tho is that they are indeed lighter and you can frolick with a bit less worry of tripping- you can also settle down onto your heels if you need a rest from standing on your toes- it dosnt LOOK great when you are standing like that, but the fact that you can do it will be a nice little feature for some people.

*cant imagine which material u use* is the front part(toes and the walking area) only made of foam or do you built the walking area out of wood? foam isnt that hard, that you can stand long on it, i think

What is the max size boot you can make these off of and what would the price difference be if we were to supply our own boots? (Many feel weird to me, and it would help to try them on beforehand, that is why I ask.)

I can make this in any size and thheres a small discount but that depends on the specs, overall would need to be talked about in a quote via email.

Oh my god. My friend sent this to me, but what this is IS basically the idea of something I had been thinking of. Even to the point of being able to rest on your heels if you needed to. SO glad to see someone actually made them :D

nice job on these i have been working on a very simmilar design back last fall myself, using a simmilar boot as a base like these for digigrade style feet.

i LOVE these and would die for a pair to go with the partial im getting ;o;
